The technology company Apple has fallen victim to a cyber-attack. Hackers managed to break their way into the company’s computer systems.
According to Apple’s information, only a small number of employees’ computers have been affected by malicious software planted by the hackers. In the meantime internal efforts to isolate the computers were successful. Apple released a statement saying “there is no indication of any data leaving Apple.”
The hackers used the same technology to perpetrate the cyber-attack as was used in the cyber-attack on the social network Facebook and other companies. The malware was able to infiltrate the computer systems due to a security flaw in Java.
Apple said it plans to release a software update as quickly as possible. Customers will be able to use this software to repair damage caused by the malware.
